3. Website use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through our forms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
• Interfere with the proper functioning or security of the website
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or overload the site without permission
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute website content except as permitted by law

4. Applications and eligibility

When you apply through our website, you confirm that:

• You have the right to work as an independent contractor in your jurisdiction, where applicable

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, project access, or any minimum volume of work. We may decline applications or pause access at our discretion based on assessment results, quality scores, project demand, or compliance requirements.

5. Contributor relationship

Approved contributors generally work as independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Cognitivus Labs. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture.

Contributors are responsible for their own taxes, equipment, internet connection, and compliance with local laws applicable to freelance or contract work.

6. Tasks, quality, and conduct

If you are accepted into a contributor program, you agree to:

• Follow project briefs, rubrics, deadlines, and quality standards provided to you
• Complete work honestly and without unauthorized assistance unless expressly allowed
• Maintain professional communication with our team
• Not disclose confidential project materials, prompts, datasets, or client information

We may review, approve, reject, or request revision of submitted work. Repeated low-quality output, policy violations, or breach of confidentiality may result in removal from active project queues.

7. Payments

Where payment applies, rates, task types, and bonus criteria are communicated during onboarding or within project instructions. Approved work is typically tallied on a weekly basis and paid in PHP through payment methods we specify.

We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment details supplied by you, third-party payment processors, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing on the website constitutes a guaranteed income, minimum hours, or ongoing work commitment.

8. Intellectual property

All website content — including text, branding, layout, logos, and design — is owned by Cognitivus Labs or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, work product created during paid contributor tasks may be assigned or licensed to Cognitivus Labs or its clients as described in separate project terms or contributor agreements provided at onboarding.

9. Confidentiality

You may receive access to non-public information related to AI projects, clients, internal tools, or evaluation materials. You agree not to copy, share, publish, or misuse such information except as required to complete assigned tasks.

10. Disclaimers

The website and any information on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Rates, project availability, timelines, and other details on the website are illustrative and may change without notice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cognitivus Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or participation in contributor programs.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the website or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount paid to you by us in the three months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD 100), except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Third-party links and services

The website may reference or link to third-party sites or tools. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

13. Suspension and termination
